Justin Esterly joined FOX 56 in January 2023 after spending 4.5 years as a morning meteorologist at WQOW News 18.
He has covered everything from major snowstorms to tornado outbreaks and everything in between.
Justin was nominated for an Emmy Award for his weather story “Megacryometeor.” In short, a massive chunk of ice fell out of the sky and through a local resident’s ceiling, causing thousands in damage. That story followed the journey of that family and the process of the local university that tried to figure out where something like that came from.
He was also voted in as one of the “Best of the Chippewa Valley: Meteorologist” in a local magazine reader poll.
In his spare time, Justin loves golfing and hunting. He is also a collegiate and minor professional ice hockey official.
