Justin Logan

Chief Meteorologist

Justin Logan joined the FOX 56 Weather Authority as morning meteorologist in October 2021 after spending three years at WAVE 3 in Louisville. His forecasts can be seen weekday mornings on FOX 56 News. In January 2023, Justin was promoted to chief meteorologist.

He was born and raised just up the road in Paris, Kentucky. Weather has been a lifelong passion of Justin’s that was sparked by a tornado outbreak when he was in elementary school. From that day forward, he knew he wanted to be a broadcast meteorologist to keep people safe during severe weather.

Justin attended Western Kentucky University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology along with a minor in Broadcast News. While at WKU, he was part of the storm team and the award-winning student newscast, NewsChannel 12.

After graduation, Justin joined KAIT-TV (the first time around) as weekend meteorologist in November 2008. He went on to work at WTVM-TV followed by a second stint at KAIT-TV. He moved back to Kentucky in October 2018 when he joined the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking Team.

Justin has experience covering and forecasting winter storms, tornadoes, and even a few tropical storms. He brings valuable experience covering severe weather to the FOX 56 Weather Authority. His favorite type of weather is snow. He is certified by the National Weather Association and holds their Broadcast Seal of Approval.

When Justin isn’t in the weather center, he is either involved with his church, watching his beloved Kentucky Wildcats, catching his favorite TV shows, or spending time with friends and family.

If you see him around town, he invites you to come over and introduce yourself.

If you have any questions about the weather, shoot him an e-mail at jlogan@FOX56News.com.
