Nicole Hutchison

Sports Reporter

Nicole was born and raised in Houston, Texas, by Deborah and Anthony Hutchison. She grew up in a family with a father who played in the NFL and an uncle who played in the NFL. That made sports a priority in her household.

She played soccer, ran track, gymnastics, karate but eventually chose to take a full ride for tennis at Howard University to pursue sports journalist. Nicole took her first internship with the Washington Redskins as a game-day intern and decided she would make a career out of it.

She worked at NBC Sports, NBC Sports Washington, MLB Network, and Monumental Sports covering the Wizards. Additionally, Nicole hosted a show on SB Nation and reported for ESPNU.

After college, her first stop KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana, where she was awarded the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for “Best Sports show” as the field reporter. Nicole hosts her own segment interviewing top college athletes and professional athletes about who they are outside of their sport like Jaguars WR J Chark, U of Miami’s D’Eriq King, Raiders RB Jalen Richard, Olympic Bronze medalist Raevyn Rogers and more.

Currently, Nicole is a freelance reporter for ESPN PLUS, host for the MEAC’s “Countdown to Kickoff” pre-game show on ESPN Plus, and joined the FOX 56 Sports team as a sports anchor/reporter.
