Tyler Melito

Reporter

Tyler joined the FOX 56 News team in June 2022.

He is a class of 2022 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications at Syracuse University (SU) where he received a degree in broadcast and digital journalism.

While at SU, Tyler held multiple different titles for the school’s on-campus television station, CitrusTV. He was an anchor/reporter for their live news show, anchor for the sports segments bi-weekly, executive producer for a live sports postgame show, and even anchored a Spanish newscast.

In May 2022, Tyler was named one of the top-35 college sports broadcasters for the 2021-2022 school year by Sportscasters Talent Agency of America and their Jim Nantz Award.

Outside of his school work during his four years of college, Tyler interned at CNY Central, the NBC/CBS affiliate in Syracuse, in their sports department. He interned with the American Junior Golf Association in their communications department traveling up and down the West Coast for a summer. Tyler also interned with Peter Greenberg Worldwide, uInterview.com, and CT Sports Now during his college career.

When not working, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing a round of golf, eating great food (and he is open to suggestions), and watching the latest episode of Survivor.

In Kentucky, Tyler is really excited to tell the stories of the people of the Commonwealth and learn all about the horse and bourbon culture.
