LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Parts of Bryan Station road were closed on Thursday as part of the high school’s annual homecoming parade.

The parade began at Bryan Station High School as students marched through surrounding neighborhoods. Football players, cheerleaders, and other school organizations joined floats and the marching band to make up the parade.

Neighbors came out to show their support for the school.

It’s something that our students really love, the community really loves. We take being the pride of the northside seriously and this is one of the ways we just like to show our pride and our school and our community is by having our students represent what it means to be a Defender here at Bryan Station High School,” said Academic Coach Eric Neely.

Bryan Station will take on Lafayette High School on the gridiron on Friday.
