Lexington police searching for man accused of stealing, pawning lawn equipment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington police have named a suspect in a crime spree involving the theft of lawn equipment from garages near Hamburg.

Now, Steven Sheangshang is the Crime Stopper’s Wanted Person of the Week.

Detectives released video from a theft last week in the Summerfield neighborhood off Winchester Road.

Police said that’s Sheangshang stealing lawn equipment from a family’s open garage. he’s now wanted on a second-degree burglary charge, which is a felony. Lexington police were able to identify Sheangshang using the license plate on the car he was driving and later flock cameras captured his car in Cincinnati and Covington where he allegedly pawned some of the stolen equipment.
