LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – We’re getting our first look at four people who robbed a Lexington vape shop over the summer and assaulted a store employee. On their way out, they loaded backpacks full of merchandise, and they still haven’t been identified.

“Knowing the store was open, they would’ve had to have known at least that there was an employee in there if not other customers,” said Det. Kristyn Klingshirn.

The robbery happened the afternoon of Aug. 21 on Richmond Road. The theft took a violent turn when the store clerk stepped out of the back to see what the commotion was.

“When they saw the clerk, they followed him into the back room. He had his cell phone in his hand in preparation of calling 911,” said Det. Klingshirn. “One of the subjects then knocked his phone out of his hand and struck him in the face.”

The masks have made it hard for detectives to identify the four, but someone knows who they are.
