LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – In this week’s Crime Stoppers report, police need help to identify a bank robber.

“It doesn’t appear he made any attempt whatsoever to hide any of his facial features,” said Lexington police Detective Kristyn Klingshirn.

So, you’d think circulating a photo of the man’s face would mean a quick arrest. But, in the two weeks since, no luck.

Police said the man walked into the PNC Bank on East New Circle on Oct. 1, showed a note to tellers, and implied he had a gun.

“When you speak to some of the victims of these, especially gas stations and things like that, a lot of time it’s young teenagers or people in their 20s,” said Klingshirn. “Most people, even older people, have never experienced anything like this in their lives. So it’s got to be terrifying for them.”

As a reminder, Crime Stoppers has upped the reward for information in cases like this. You can now receive up to $1,500 if your anonymous information leads to an arrest. Call the tip line at 253-2020 or go online to p3tips.com.
