LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A cash box is missing from a kiosk inside Fayette Mall, and Lexington police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person caught on camera.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 16 before the mall opened to shoppers. Detectives said the person entered the mall through an employee entrance that’s off-limits to the public. Then, they walked to a kiosk that was closed off by a plastic covering.

“So, the tarp helped conceal him,” said Det. Kristyn Klingshirn. “While he was under there, he was able to remove the cash box and other various items from the kiosk itself before he exited the mall.”
