BOONEVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A fatal two-vehicle collision on KY Highway 30 in Owsley County is under investigation by Kentucky State Police.

KSP said the accident occurred just before 8 p.m. on Friday near KY Highway 1411. Initial investigations show 69-year-old Dennis Neeley of Booneville was traveling east on KY 30 when he crossed the center line and collided with 57-year-old Cecil Turner.

Neeley was declared dead at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner. Turner was transported to the Kentucky River Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
