LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One man is dead after an early morning crash on I-75 on Friday morning.

The Laurel County Sheriff said it was around 1:43 a.m. when a Ford Expedition hydroplaned and struck the concrete median while heading southbound on I-75 just south of London. The Ford Expedition was then struck by an oncoming Subaru Impreza.

Bryan James Lowman, 24, of Spartanburg, North Carolina, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner’s Office. According to authorities, Lawson was driving the Subaru Impreza without a seatbelt.

Three others were injured in the crash and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The southbound lane of I-75 was closed for approximately three hours.

The crash is still under investigation by the Laurel County Sheriff.
