NICHOLAS COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Nicholas County Coroner’s Office is conducting a death investigation after two were killed in a single-vehicle collision.

According to the coroner’s office, Greg Gaunce, 20, and Nathaniel Clay Welch, 17, both of Carlisle, were pronounced dead at 1:26 a.m. on Myers Road.

The bodies of Gaunce and Welch are being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for further examination.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
