LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a 14-year-old who died of a suspected fentanyl overdose.
The Bowling Green Police Department said a boy was dropped off at the hospital on April 8, suffering from a suspected fentanyl overdose. On April 13, the boy died from medical complications.

Authorities said detectives tracked the source of the fentanyl pills to Kwin Ko and Lar Mu. The police department said Ko had 15 M30 pills that were suspected of containing fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. On April 19, Mu was located by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office with a suspected Percocet/fentanyl pill and drug paraphernalia.
Both men were lodged in the Warren County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
Ko is charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives)
- First-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified)
- Drug paraphernalia — buy/possess
- First-degree promoting contraband
- Second-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified)
Mu is charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives)
- First-degree possession of a c controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified)
- Drug paraphernalia — buy/possess
