LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Three people were killed in an overnight crash on I-75 in Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred at approximately 11 p.m. Monday at exit 38 in London.

Officials said a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, driven by 21-year-old Joshua Poore of Clovis, California, was driving north in the southbound lane when it crashed into a Nissan Altima.

According to police, all three individuals in the Altima were reported deceased at the scene as a result of the collision.

Poore reportedly sustained severe but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UK Hospital. He is in the custody of the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office with charges pending.

The identity of the three deceased Nissan Altima occupants has not been released, but they are believed to be from the Chicago, Illinois area, according to a press release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Reconstruction units are investigating the incident.
