CORBIN, Ky. (FOX 56) – A large amount of methamphetamine was located in Corbin.

On Saturday, Whitley County law enforcement went to Pinewood Drive off of Fifth Street Road to locate Nytishia Younts, 49, who was said to have multiple active warrants for her arrest.

At the scene, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department said they located a large group of people gathered around the garage, including Younts. After investigating the scene further, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine on Brian Smith, 39, and more methamphetamine in the surrounding area and structures.

Marvin Golden, 51, who was located within the group, also had an active warrant out for his arrest.

Officers said that while still on the scene a vehicle driven by Jason Goodman pulled up. Goodman, 37, was found to be under the influence and was arrested for a DUI, where it was found he also had an active warrant for his arrest.

Shortly after, Laura Saylor, 61, was observed pulling up, who was also found to have an active arrest warrant.

Whitley County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that, in total, five people were arrested, eight warrants served, and a large amount of methamphetamine was seized.

All five are currently being housed at the Whitley County Detention Center.
