DRY RIDGE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Kentucky woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, has won the first $1 million prize in Kentucky Lottery’s newest scratch-off.

The Dry Ridge native purchased Kentucky Lottery’s new $50 500X scratch-off out of a vending machine at Crittenden Fastlane in Crittenden.

The woman said she won $30 on a Jackpot Fortune ticket and went back into the store to purchase one of the new 500X tickets. As she scratched off the ticket the revealed symbols indicated she was a winner of the $1 million top prize.

“I was in shock. I couldn’t sleep,” the woman told Kentucky Lottery officials.

After taxes, the woman walked away with $710,000. She told lottery officials she plans to use the money to pay off her car and purchase land.
