CARLISLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The body of a man who appeared to have drowned in the Licking River was recovered on Sunday.

Charles William Bussell, 59, of Carlisle, is believed to have drowned while fishing in the Licking River. His body was recovered Sunday morning, and he was declared dead at 9:40 a.m. by the Nicholas County coroner.

Bussell was said to be fishing at a farm on Milltown Road in Nicholas County. His body is being sent off for an official cause of death determination at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

The investigation is being conducted by the Nicholas County Coroner’s Office, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
