WOODBINE, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Monday, a Whitley County man’s bond was raised to $1 million after a preliminary hearing.
Jordan Blake Taylor, 22, is in jail following the blunt-force trauma death of a 2-year-old girl in his care. Taylor, of Woodbine, was initially held on a $250,000 bond.
Kentucky State Police said the Whitley County EMS responded to a residence where a 3-year-old child was unresponsive. The child was transported to Baptist Health in Corbin and later pronounced dead by the Whitley county Coroner’s Office.

According to an arrest situation, the medical personnel reported the child’s injuries were inconsistent with Taylor’s statements of being an accident.
