FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — In December, Buffalo Trace reached a huge milestone as they filled their eight millionth barrel of bourbon since prohibition.

Now, they’re celebrating accordingly with the chance for a lucky bourbon-lover to spend the night at its “ultra-private” guesthouse, the Stagg Lodge.

One fan who “runs” a mile between Jan 18. and Feb. 18 and enters the sweepstakes will be chosen for an exclusive stay at Buffalo Trace’s Stagg Lodge, a 4,000-square-foot log cabin located on the edge of Whiskey Farm overlooking the distillery, the Kentucky River, and downtown Frankfort. The five-bed, four-bath house has never been offered to the public before.

Because Bourbon Trace’s milestone occurred following National Ditch Your New Year’s Resolution Day, they’re asking fans to ditch their resolutions and “run” for bourbon.

“We’re asking people to run just one mile for a chance to join us at Buffalo Trace Distillery for a specially curated bourbon experience, and the opportunity to stock their bars with an exclusive collection of some of our finest bourbons for the new year and beyond,” said Harlen Wheatley, master distiller.

The two-day estimated $10,000 trip will include:

  • First-class airfare for two
  • A two-night stay — one at Stagg Lodge, the other in the city of Louisville)
  • Dinner both nights prepared by Buffalo Trace’s private chef
  • Private tours of the distillery grounds
  • an $800 gift card for the gift shop
  • A donation by Buffalo Trace in the name of the winner to a mutually agreed upon charity
