LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A press conference was held by the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police endorsing Republican gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron in the upcoming race.

Members of the Kentucky FOP spoke on why they support Daniel Cameron in the race to be Kentucky’s next governor, saying his support of law enforcement is just what Kentucky needs.

Each Kentucky FOP lodge gets one vote when it comes to endorsements. Daniel Cameron was the overwhelming choice among the 67 lodges.

“Every day, the men and women of our law enforcement community put on their uniform and a badge and leave the safe confines of their homes to patrol our streets and protect our communities. We cannot thank them enough for their sacrifices,” Cameron said.
