HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officials have identified the human remains found on the Northern Kentucky University campus earlier this month.

After being found on March 12 in a wooded area behind a soccer field on the campus, the remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Campbell County Coroner’s Office said examination by a forensic pathologist led officials to identify the remains as Gary Randall.

Authorities did not provide any additional information pertaining to Randall’s identity but did state there is no indication of foul play in his death at this point in the investigation.

Further examination of Randall’s remains will be completed over the next couple of months, according to the Campbell County Coroner, in order to determine his manner of death.
