LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of a Kentucky woman in Texas — 16 years after the crime.

Some anonymous information came in over the weekend saying Christian County murder suspect Annastaja Hathaway was hiding out in Houston, Texas.

Crime Stoppers Coordinator Anthony Delimpo verified that Hathaway had a warrant for the robbery and murder of 84-year-old Roscoe Mayes.

Kentucky officials teamed up with the Houston Police Department to check out the address provided by the anonymous tipster.

Detectives said they arrested Hathaway, who was in full disguise and had changed her appearance since the April 2006 murder of Roscoe Mayes.

Police said Mayes was beaten to death and that at least two other women are charged in connection with the murder.
