ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — Authorities are searching for the person who is accused of kidnapping a 7-month-old on Sunday evening.

The Elizabethtown Police Department said it responded to a residence in the 200 block of Michelle Avenue at approximately 6:38 p.m. on Sunday after a car was reportedly stolen with a 7-month-old girl inside.

Within an hour, the stolen Chevrolet Cobalt was found within “close proximity of where it was taken,” according to the department. The girl was still inside the vehicle, unharmed.

Police said that they were still searching for the person involved and asked anyone who has any information to contact Elizabethtown Police by calling 270-765-4125.
