KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — Another man has died in Taylor County at Green River Lake.

Campbellsville Fire and Rescue reported that they were dispatched to Green River Lake around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday in response to a drowning.

Although safety divers were deployed, it was determined that a 37-year-old male was underwater and unaccounted for. It was clear their rescue efforts had become a recovery operation due to a large amount of bottom debris.

The subject was located and recovered from 32 feet of water in the heavy brush on Monday at 11:23 a.m. His identity has not yet been released.

This comes just four days after an adult male died as a result of his injuries after he was found unresponsive and not breathing on the shore. A Larue County man also died on May 22 after driving into Green River Lake. First responders were able to remove the 69-year-old from the vehicle but he was pronounced dead at Taylor Regional Hospital.

These drownings are still under investigation by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Taylor County Coroners Office.
