LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The electronic crime branch of the Kentucky State Police has arrested a Greenup County man on child sexual abuse charges.

James E. Stockham, 33, was found to be sharing explicit images of children online by KSP officials, prompting an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed on Thursday in South Shore and evidence was seized for examination.

Stockham is currently charged with 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a child under the age of 12 in a sexual performance and one count of distributing explicit matter of a minor under the age of 12.

KSP said Stockham was also charged with one count of a sexual crime against an animal.

Stockham was booked into the Greenup County Detention Center.
