LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) – A Louisville man was sentenced to over a year in prison for failure to pay taxes withheld from his employees’ paychecks.
The Western District Kentucky Department of Justice said 69-year-old Christopher S. Moyer, owner and sole operator of TT Repairs, LLC in Louisville, was responsible for payroll at TT Repairs, LLC. The department said documents show that from the third quarter of 2015 through the fourth quarter of 2019, Moyer withheld income taxes and FICA taxes from his employees’ paychecks but failed to turn the money over to the Internal Revenue Service.

Moyers is sentenced to pay a $10,000 fine and a two-year period of supervised release after completing his 15-month sentence in federal prison. He also agreed to pay the taxes owed plus penalties and interest.
The department said Moyer paid $1 million of the amount due before he was sentenced.
