LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky Fried Chicken recently announced a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment through July 2.

Customers who purchase any KFC chicken sandwich on the KFC app or KFC.com will be eligible to unlock five exclusive in-game battle cosmetic transmogs in KFC’s red and white brand colors.

What are the KFC Diablo IV rewards?

  • Vessel of the Eleven (totem)
  • Dread Pheasant Slayer (bow)
  • Hand of Gallus (polearm)
  • Thrumming Axle (staff)
  • Foul Reaper (two-handed scythe)

To unlock the exclusive rewards, customers need to create a KFC account on the KFC app or KFC.com and sync their KFC account to their Diablo IV Battle.net® account, which will automatically unlock the first reward.

KFC said customers can then unlock four additional rewards by purchasing the qualifying menu items, one sandwich order unlocks one new reward, on the KFC app or KFC.com only during the promotional period.

The status of unlocked rewards can be found at KFC.com/Diablo.

“As the fried chicken experts, we’ve set the standard in the fried chicken sandwich game,” said Nick Chavez, CMO, KFC U.S in a news release. “Now fans of Diablo IV can feed their hunger for both our best chicken sandwich ever and exclusive in-game rewards.”

On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment announced Diablo IV has set a sales record for the company with, “93 million hours, or over 10,000 years — the equivalent of playing 24 hours a day since the beginning of human civilization,” being played in the first four days the game was publically available.

In March, KFC and Blizzard Entertainment kicked off their collaboration by offering customers the chance to preview Diablo IV during a Beta weekend by purchasing a KFC Double Down Sandwich. Now launching on June 6, Diablo IV is the next installment in the genre-defining video game series and invites players to join the fight against evil.
