SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) – On Thursday at approximately 9:35 p.m., Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a 911 call regarding a fatal collision on Garner School Road in Pulaski County.
According to KSP, the collision occurred during a vehicle pursuit as Timothy S. Mcculley, 36, of London was fleeing from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after a theft in Monticello.
Mcculley was not wearing a seatbelt when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a rock embankment. KSP confirmed that the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office pronounced Mcculley dead at the scene.
His two passengers, Brandie A. Messer, 30, of Artemus, Kentucky, and John J. Hart, 41, of Corbin, Kentucky were both transported to hospitals. Messer was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center and has been listed in critical condition, according to KSP.
Mcculley’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
