FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two proposed Kentucky bills have now advanced to the governor’s desk.
Senate Bill 9, known as Lofton’s Law, passed the House on Wednesday by a wide margin of 96 to 3. The bill would create misdemeanor and felony charges for hazing.
Senate Bill 20 was already approved by the Senate, but members still needed to sign off on changes made by the House. This final approval occurred Thursday morning. The bill would ban the use of TikTok on state networks and devices.
Both bills will now head to Gov. Beshear’s desk to be signed into law.
