LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested a London man with active bench warrants on Friday.

Jonathon R. Mathews, 33, of London was arrested around 9:55 a.m. after being charged with a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • First-degree strangulation
  • Two counts of fourth-degree assault with one assault considered domestic violence
  • Third-degree terroristic threatening

Mathews also had a bench warrant issued for failing to appear in court on charges of driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
