MONTICELLO, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Monticello teen turned herself in after a man was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the teen approached a sheriff’s deputy in the parking lot of the Wayne County Courthouse in Monticello and said she had shot a man inside a nearby apartment.

The Monticello Police Department said when police and EMS arrived at the apartment, they found 54-year-old Phillip Gerhardt suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm and upper chest area. Gerhardt was treated by Wayne County Emergency Medical Services and then transported to Wayne County Hospital. He was later transported to the U.K. Medical Center, with no word on his current condition.
