LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Mount Washington teenager is facing charges of attempted murder of a police officer.
WDRB reported that 18-year-old Kenzie Vanarsdale was taken into custody by Mount Washington police on Saturday.

A news release from the Mount Washington Police Department alleged Vanarsdale was trespassing in Lindsay Duvall Park when an officer identified himself and tried to get Vanarsdale to identify herself when she ran away.
The department said when the officer caught up with Vanarsdale near the 100 block of Emma Court and when the officer tried to detain her, she spun around and stabbed him above his left eye with a screwdriver.
The officer detained her before he was taken to UL South for treatment. The officer has been released from the hospital.
According to the Bullitt County Detention Center, Vanarsdale was booked at 8:42 a.m., and no bond has yet been set. An arrest citation has not been released, and there are no court records yet.
Her arraignment has not been scheduled.
