CARLISLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Nicholas County woman has been taken into custody after her father was found dead in a recliner.

On May 12, Kentucky State Police were contacted by the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office after learning about a man dead in a Carlisle residence.

A search warrant led to KSP locating a decomposed male in a recliner in the living room of a trailer on Myers Road. The man was identified as Raymond Board, who lived in the trailer with his daughter, Angela Board.

When interviewed, Board said her father died in the recliner on Aug. 5, 2022, and she did not report his death to anyone.

According to KSP, some of the bones of his right lower leg were missing, to which Board said she believed one of the dogs on the property might have eaten them, but she wasn’t certain of which dog.

Board was taken to the Bourbon County Detention Center and charged with abuse of a corpse, while her father was taken by the Nicholas County coroner.
