LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Kentucky Derby is all about watching the fastest racehorses in the world compete in “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports,” but it’s also an opportunity to enjoy some world-class cuisine right here in the Bluegrass.

Derby organizers have released the official menu for the event, and per usual, it’s full of a wide variety of delectable dishes.

The menu, which will be available to racegoers for the Oaks (May 5) and the Derby (May 6), was created for the second year in a row by Churchill Downs’ executive chef Kenneth Hardiman.

Hardiman is excited to once again be the mastermind behind the food at the world’s highest stage of horse racing.

“Leading the culinary team at the Kentucky Derby is one of the highest honors a chef can have, and I’m excited for the opportunity to add to the Kentucky Derby’s rich culinary legacy again this year,” said Hardiman.

This year’s food and specialty cocktail menu features fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from area providers.
