FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — A new poll released Thursday morning indicated Gov. Andy Beshear is maintaining a strong performance rating among Kentucky voters and holds a significant lead over every major Republican challenger.

The poll conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy showed 61% of voters approve of the job Beshear is doing, while only 29% disapprove and 10% are unsure.

When it comes to major Republican challengers (Cameron, Craft, Quarles, Harmon), incumbent Democrat Beshear holds a significant lead. Attorney General Daniel Cameron maintains the lowest margin with a 9% trail behind Gov. Beshear.

Cameron is the early front-runner among Republican challengers, holding a 20-point lead over Craft (39%-13%). Quarles and Harmon currently amass single-digit support with 8% and 5% of voters respectively. Additionally, 28% of GOP primary voters remain undecided.

Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy collected the data over a six-day period, starting on Jan. 18. It included 273 Democrats, 287 Republicans, and 65 independents within in the sample group.
