PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – Two individuals from Pulaski County were taken into custody for various drug-related charges after a traffic stop on Saturday.

At 4:41 a.m., 46-year-old Donald Ray Brown, and 19-year-old Abigail N. Davis were stopped on Murphy Avenue after a deputy said he observed the vehicle driving with their lights off.

K-9 Giro arrived with another deputy to assist with the stop and Giro began responding to the smell of narcotics in the vehicle.

After searching the vehicle, deputies said they found three baggies of what was believed to be marijuana weighing around 66.1 grams and around 212 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetmine.

After the investigation, Brown and Davis were both taken into custody.

Brown has been charged with:

  • Rear license plate not illuminated
  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than 2 grams of methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces)
  • Failure to illuminate headlamps
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Davis was charged with:

  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than 2 grams of methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces)

Brown and Davis were both taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
