NANCY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Deputies in Pulaski County are trying to catch a thief who broke into two pharmacies on Aug. 9.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department believes the same man committed two crimes in one night.

A man in the surveillance footage, a man deputies said broke the front door of Nancy Pharmacy in Pulaski County.

“Deputies responded on Aug. 9, they were notified of the alarm activation and they arrived at 1:55 a.m. They discovered glass breakage to an exterior door and an interior door that led to the pharmacy,” detective Matt Bryant said.

“Single suspect was determined to have broken a glass, made forced entry into the pharmacy, and stole several bottles of controlled substances while inside,” Bryant said.

The man then ransacked the shelves and stole prescription drugs and now deputies said that may mean there are dangerous drugs on the streets.

“They may consume those their selves or they may traffic in those items and they may cause injury or death through someone through overdose,” Bryant said.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said the same suspect drove nearly 100 miles to commit a similar crime.

“One of the aspects in this case, that we determined last week was that there was a very similar pharmacy burglary in Allen county that had a very similar method of operation and a similar suspect profile, Bryant said.

Bryant hopes the man in these photos looks familiar to someone.

“If anyone sees anything or anything that appears to be connected to a large pharmaceutical bottle or anything like we direct them to the Facebook post we made last week,” Bryant said.

Anyone who may recognize the man in the video is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, or leave an anonymous tip.
