LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Ryan Quarles hit the road for his campaign trail, stopping at an early voting spot Thursday.

In hopes of becoming Kentucky’s next governor, Quarles kicked off his “Big Red Truck” campaign.

While stopping at various Kentucky locations, Quarles shares his campaign message and meets supporters. One of his stops Thursday was Kroger Field, where several people cast early votes before coming to show their support.

Quarles said he’s confident about the results of this upcoming election, but he also acknowledged that he has a very tough race ahead of him, especially with Gov. Beshear being in the seat currently.

“This fall’s race is going to be tough. Andy Beshear will be tough to beat. This will be the most high-profile race in America this year and the most competitive governor’s race as well.  I think a lot of Republicans are thinking about who has the best shot of beating Andy this fall,” Quarles said.

The Big Red Truck campaign will continue through this Saturday.
