IRVINE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Estill County Animal Shelter is at capacity again after a second huge animal confiscation.
In September, 73 Maltese dogs were found living in “deplorable conditions” in an Estill County home and were rescued by the animal shelter, Kentucky State Police, and Paws 4 the Cause.

The shelter said it has now taken in 18 dogs from a home, with 13 more on the way.
“We have no extra space so we have up to 5-6 dogs per kennel,” the shelter said on Facebook.
They are asking anyone who has space for an adoption or rescue to visit the Estill County Animal Shelter.
