LANCASTER, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Garrard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after human remains were found at a nature preserve.

According to the sheriff’s office, skeletal remains were located in the Tom Dorman Nature Preserve in northern Garrard County.

The identity of the remains is not known at this time.

The remains have been removed by the Garrard County coroner and will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
