SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Somerset woman is accused of leaving her mother on the floor after a fall for several weeks, leading to the mother’s death.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Abra McDonald, 49, lives with her mother, Karen McDonald, 67, and failed to aid her mother after falling to the floor.

Detectives said Abra made no attempts to contact someone to help her mother off the floor despite having adequate cell phone service and neighbors nearby. On June 28, after being removed from the floor of her home the previous day, Karen died as a result of her injuries.
On Sept. 8, Abra was indicted on one charge of knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult and has yet to be indicted on another count of the same charge. No date has yet been set in Pulaski Circuit Court for her regarding this new indictment.
On June 27, she was booked into the Pulaski County Detention Center.
