VERSAILLES, Ky. (WDKY) – Woodford Reserve Distillery announced plans for a major expansion.

Citing growing demand, the Brown-Forman Corporation said the expansion will double its production capacity and include three new copper pot stills.

“Woodford Reserve is celebrating its 25th anniversary throughout 2021, and the expansion of the distillery allows us to look to the next 25 years,” Master Distiller Chris Morris said.

The expansion will also include a new building and boiler plant, more fermentation tanks, and a training center.

Construction is expected to begin this spring and wrap up in the summer of 2022.

Woodford Reserve Distillery is a national historic landmark where distilling first began in 1812.
