LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Lexington police are investigating a stabbing that took place Sunday on South Limestone.

Lexington police said they were called out to the Speedway gas station on South Limestone at around 3:40 a.m. to investigate reports of an individual who was stabbed.

The police told FOX 56 the individual was not found at the gas station but was later tracked down by officers and transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment.

There have been no arrests at this time and authorities said they do not know what led up to the stabbing.

The incident remains under investigation.
