KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — In 2022, Southern Living recognized five Kentucky towns amongst the best the South had to offer. Now three are being recognized among the best small towns in the South.
Berea, Paducah, and Danville were all named in the top 50 best small towns in the South.

Berea
Berea came in at 26 on the list. Southern Living highlighted Berea’s role as Kentucky’s folk art and crafting capital of Kentucky saying, “Berea is a dynamic spot for creators and craftspeople working across a variety of media.
In 2022, Southern Living named Berea the South’s14th Best Mountain Town.
Paducah
Paducah came in at 35. “A jewel situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers,” Sothern living highlights what it called the creative soul of Paducah highlighting one-of-a-kind businesses.
Last year, Paducah came in at 11 on the Best Small Towns list. The article highlighted cultural attractions like galleries, festivals, art centers, and museums, especially the National Quilt Museum.
Danville
Danville didn’t make the list in 2022, but this year earned a spot due to the rich history in the area. “Explore spirited Main Street, where you can find Renaissance Revival- and Federal-style buildings housing modern eateries; boutiques; and the Art Center of the Bluegrass, a creative hub in the community,” the Southern Living editors wrote.
