LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Lexington Police Department released new information regarding the accident that occurred on Friday night on Russell Cave Road.

According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Matthew Austin Druin, 37, was in an accident at the intersection of New Circle Road and Russell Cave Road.

Lexington Police told FOX 56 that the incident was a motorcycle hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.

Druin, the pedestrian, was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where he later died of multiple blunt-force injuries, according to the coroner.

Police are still working to identify the motorcyclist.
