LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man wanted in connection with a Bardstown shooting on Wednesday was arrested in Lexington over the weekend.

Akbar Mubelela, 18, was wanted by police after a man was reportedly found shot on Ashberry Drive. Police said the victim was in stable condition.

On Thursday, authorities said Mubelela was considered “armed and dangerous” and known to travel between Bardstown and Lexington.

Mubelela was arrested on Saturday by Lexington police and booked into the Fayette County Detention Center, according to jail records. He faces first-degree robbery and first-degree assault charges and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
