LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Beginning Sept. 29 Lexington travelers are just one flight away from the Mile High City!

The Blue Grass Airport announced its partnership with United Airlines to run daily nonstop flights from Lexington to Denver, Colorado on the following schedule:

• Depart Lexington at 4:30 p.m. ET and arrive in Denver at 5:45 p.m. MT
• Depart Denver at 10:15 a.m. MT and arrive in Lexington at 3:15 p.m. ET

The addition is part of a larger announcement by United that includes 35 new flights three of which will run every day between Blue Grass Airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).

“This is great news for Lexingtonians and all of central Kentucky,” said Eric Frankl, president & CEO of Blue Grass Airport, “This nonstop route to Denver, with all its connection possibilities to the West, has long been a highly desired destination for travelers flying from Blue Grass Airport.”

According to the Blue Grass Airport, this expansion will give travelers access to more than 70 westward locations, such as Alaska, Hawaii, Western Canada, and Japan.
