LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The pedestrian involved in an early morning hit-and-run has died.
According to the Fayette County Coroner, 44-year-old Anna Kolokotsas died due to blunt-force trauma injuries on Tuesday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., Kolokotsas was hit by a car near North Broadway and Fourth Street. Police said the car fled the scene.
She was transported to UK Medical Center, where she later died of her injuries.

One person is seriously hurt after getting hit by a car early Tuesday in Lexington.
Lexington police said it happened just before 1 a.m. near North Broadway and Fourth Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Police said the car fled the scene, and there’s no vehicle description at this time.
