LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Fayette County school bus has crashed with students on board, according to city officials.

Lexington police said the incident happened around 7 a.m. on Jane Street. There, a bus collided with the car of Lexington Councilwoman Tanya Fogle.

Councilwoman Fogle told FOX 56 her car was parked at the time, and no one was inside.

Officers said no injuries were reported among the students on the bus.

Fayette County Public Schools confirmed the students were heading to Harrison Elementary School.

FCPS said in a statement that:

“FCPS has been made aware that 12 students were on board the school bus this morning heading to Harrison Elementary.  None of the people on board the bus was injured. Supervisors in the FCPS Transportation Department will review the video from the bus and conduct remedial training with the driver, as needed.”
