FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — An inmate in Franklin County sustained life-threatening injuries during an attempt to escape police custody, according to authorities.
The Frankfort Police Department said units were called at 10:30 p.m. to assist deputies from the Franklin County Regional Jail (FCRJ) in locating an inmate who jumped out of a transport vehicle window while it was in motion.
Frankfort police said that before units could arrive, FCRJ located the inmate and found that she had sustained serious injuries during her attempted escape.
The inmate, identified by police as 21-year-old Brianna Hollon of Frankfort, was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
